The
corporate world is definitely a dog eat dog world. Corporations are satisfying
their capitalist cravings by gobbling up small companies and merging with other
corporations. The media world is no different. As the Federal Communications
Commission (FCC) is about to undertake its quadrennial review in 2007, the big
media corporations are hoping for a relaxation in the ownership rules. The
Telecommunications Act of 1996 gave media corporations some leeway in the
rules, green lighting companies to consolidate and own more radio and
