ABSTRACT
Hospitalization due to illness is one of the
inevitable events that are very usual nowadays. People from different
stratifications- the rich, the middle class and the poorest of the poor are not
exempted from this. Constraints prevent some, especially the latter, to
consider hospital confinement because of money matters.
On June 5, 1997, President Fidel V. Ramos approved Republic act 8344, an Act Prohibiting the
Demand of Deposits or Advance Payments for the Confinement or Treatment of
Patients in Hospitals and Medical Clinics in Certain Cases.
