Paper Abstract
This 5 page paper considers the political, economic, and social issues that were prevalent during the American Civil War and the subsequent Reconstruction Era and argues that this actually represented a “Second American Revolution.” Because the first American Revolution was defined by ideological and economic issues and determined widespread change, it can be argued that the American Civil War was also the same kind of situation and had similar outcomes.
