Paper Abstract
A 6 page essay that examines elementary teachers in the role of intervention. Discussed are innovative new teaching techniques that stress the importance of the 'whole child', placing emphasis on the child's family life and community life as well as academic life. This paper focuses on the changing role of the kindergarten teacher and the problems faced by novice teacher attempting to implement new teaching techniques. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
