Paper Abstract
This 15 page paper considers the specific problem of malnutrition and the impact for cognitive development. Specifically, this paper considers the way in which malnutrition negatively impacts development, growth and learning and relates this to different periods in child development. This study expands on the common view that poor nutrition, including deficiencies in particular areas, can negatively impact brain development and can also lead to poor attention spans and reductions in skill development in the classroom setting.
