This report
based on the energy use data set, randomly selecting 95 sampling data in New South Wales, to
analyze relationship among Location/Area category, Predominant Zoning,
Percentage Increase in Demand, Main Energy Source, and Percentage Increase in
Population, by using statistic methods.
For summary, 74.74% of the
total sample areas consumption is between 6,000 and 12,000KWH, 24.21% families
consume more than 12,000KWH. Among the entire predominant zone, commercial use
consumes most of the electricity, followed by industrial, agricultural and
residential. For energy source aspect, natural gas and brown coal contribute
more electricity than back coal and hydro. Considering impact of the
greenhouse, government should encourage the sustainable energy sources, such as
hydro, natural gas, solar energy and wind power. With the increase of
population, consumption of electricity has a significant trend to expend, which
might cause energy shortage in the future.
