Today, the debate
regarding citizens having the right to bear arms still remains an issue and
many politicians fear touching the subject.
Three questions that arise in our discussion are; does the constitution
create a right of individuals to bear arms?
Should stricter gun control be adopted? Do more guns lead to fewer
crimes? No matter what lawyers might say about the laws and what the Second
Amendment states regarding the right to bear arms people will still believe
they can carry guns. Opponents of gun
control stress that the Second Amendment applies to individuals but others
think that the Second Amendment applies only to the Militia.
