School finance is a crucial issue in today’s social
structure. Many elemental concerns are hoisting in an intense examination of
foremost problems and issues in public school finance. At the moment, the issue of civil rights
facing school systems is on the peak (Verstegen, pg:
243). School finance litigation is currently focused on suspected deprivations
of some constitutionally required level of educational opportunity, often set
forth in vague state legal provisions (Obhof, pg:
569). This paper focuses on important issues involved in school finance. These
features address adjustment in teacher compensation, the financial condition of
school, policy implications for school finance and increased fairness of
educational opportunity.
