Abstract
           Practical
work is an important aspect of science teaching. No meaningful science teaching
can be achieved without the integration of practical work. The place of
laboratory on practical work cannot however be overemphasized. Laboratory
serves as the workshop for effective science teaching. This paper examines the
features of science laboratories and highlights the personnel that are involved
in their management. It goes further to highlight the strategies for effective
use of science laboratories for effective teaching.
