(OPC) - how do employees perceive it?
An
empirical analysis on an ISO-9001 certified public sector paper industry
Abstract
OPC is a critical concept,
links to continuous improvement; usually discussed and studied with in the
ambit of TQ oriented organizational development under the process dimensions.
No doubt, the conceptual basis of the present study is a bit old, but in the
context of public sector industry in India, there is dearth of this kind
of study. Academic literature with empirical evidence on this aspect is also
limited. Considering the dearth’s, the study was conducted in ISO certified
public paper industry located in Assam. Main aim of the study to
assess the employees’ perception of OPC. The study revealed an ideal OPC no
doubt assumes the requirement of employees’ involvement with passion and
practices. Employees’ perception toward OPC in the referred context is highly
favorable.
