Â
People all over America
have been into the stem cell debate.Â
Some Americans stick to their cause without knowing the facts, refusing
to persuaded to consider the options due to
ignorance. Several do not even know what
a stem cell. A stem cell is an
undifferentiated cell. Stem cells found
in fetuses or embryos can develop into any type of differentiated cells, while
those found in mature tissues develop only into specific cells. Adult stem cells can be found in postnatal
humans. Embryonic stem cells are taken
from the embryo during the blastula phase.Â
Since these cells have been taken so early, they are able to
differentiate into many types of cells.Â
This fact has lead embryonic stem cells to be important to medicine and
therefore, debate.
