The Fulfillment
of a Dream
The speech “I Have a Dream” by Martin Luther King Jr. is
one of the most famous speeches that has ever been presented to the American
people. It was a speech that moved a nation and caused for positive strides
when they were needed more than ever during the Civil Rights Era. This speech
was delivered on August 28th, 1963 in Washington D.C in front of
more than 200,000 people who traveled from all over our nation to experience
history. After reading this speech it’s hard not to see how much time and
effort went into his organization and delivery of this speech. To me it’s the
language and tone that really captures the audience and causes for it to be so
powerful and moving.
