5 pages in length. Mark Antony, born Marcus Antonius in 83 BC, was Caesar's primary lieutenant throughout his reign; once the ruler was assassinated, Antony ascended to the position. This achievement – as well as the political and social discord that was to follow – may have been precipitated by the fact that Antony was born into the distant family of Caesar.
