Paper Abstract
This 5 page paper has three sections. The first provides a short academic biography of Lauren Resnick and a brief overview of the Institute of Learning founded by Resnick. The second section explains Accountable Talk, one of Resnick's nine principles of learning and then offers three examples of how Accountable Talk would be actualized in a classroom. The third section explains Academic Rigor, another of Resnick's nine principles of learning and describes three examples of how Academic Rigor has been implemented in schools. Bibliography lists 10 sources.
