To illustrate the influence of philosophy on man, the works of the ancient Greeks, Confucius, Rene Descartes, Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, David Hume, Immanuel Kant, John Stuart Mill, Friedrich Nietzsche and Jean-Paul Sartre.
