Impact
of Hispanic Writers on Literature
To
understand the impact that Hispanic Writers have had on literature, it is
important to understand what the term “Hispanic” refers to. There are over 20 countries that fall under
the true classification of “Hispanic”.
These countries include, but certainly are not limited to: Argentina, Bolivia,
Columbia, Cuba,
Guatemala, Mexico,
and Spain. Though these countries share much in the way
of language and culture, many of these countries are as different from one another
as night and day.
One
commonality that almost all of the Hispanic countries share is the language
that they speak. This language is
Spanish. There are some countries who
speak another language – for example, Brazil speaks Portuguese. However, Spanish is the dominant language
among the different Hispanic cultures.
