Abstract
“Contrary to conventional trade theory, and despite many years of public
aid, private foreign investment and growth of trade, wide income gaps persist
between the most developed and certain developing areas.”
In this paper, we shall reflect on the “income gap” between countries of
higher and lower levels of development and try to determine if it’s indeed
widening or shrinking, but also we will consider causes which make this income
gap persist, and possible solutions from developed countries, which might help
make a difference to improve the developing countries reach a better level of
income and quality of life.
