Abstract
The conflict between the individual and
the group has been enduring since human beings form the community. The issue of
homosexuality is most heated up in our society. In the view of the most
homosexuals and their heterosexual supporters, homosexuality is an inborn
state. They have an opinion that sexual orientation of a person is the moral
equivalent of discrimination in opposition to a person on the basis of color or
religion. Other intellectuals believe
that the homosexuality must not be adopted by society. They explain that
society must develop the heterosexual marital principle otherwise there will be
great risk to foundation of society. Existing homosexual principle denotes that
“homosexuals are born homosexual, and that homosexuality is in no way a
psychological or emotional deviation”. In the Bible, homosexuality is least
mentioned. In reality, there is no biblical word for homosexual or for
homosexuality (Soards, 1995).
