God and evolution can coexist
The topics of
evolution and God have been complex, controversial, and intriguing for many
people. I found two encyclicals dealing with evolution from two different
popes, and it has greatly progressed. I also found a very recent article
dealing with this topic and it briefly presents the side of the argument that I
tend to agree with. God and evolution are very in depth and debatable subjects
which makes it hard to briefly talk about one aspect, but I will do my best.
In 1950,
Pope Pius XII wrote an encyclical named “Humani Generis”. In this document he seems to give a rather
negative interpretation of evolution.
