Evolution and Compatibility of Total Quality Management
Abstract
This paper
covers Quality evolution from its early start in Japan during 1920s, and the famous
gurus who made a long lasting impact in the quality such as Deming, Juran, Feigenbaum and Ishikawa. The Evolution covered the periods of the
1920s, 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. They included main quality character of each
decade and its contribution from thoughts, methodology and guidelines. The quality culture spread quickly in the
Japanese society and they are embedded within them. They recovered from the war with huge
economical rise. The quality became part
of the process, not a separate function.
