Technology
has come a long way when it comes to meeting the needs of people today. In the
past there were few devices that were available to assist the deaf and hard of
hearing in their daily lives, but throughout modern history, there have been
much technological advancement to assist those that are deaf or hard of
hearing. The following paper is going to explore several of the major
improvements made in this field, including, hearing aids, the Sidekick,
Cochlear Implants and CART.
