Databases
           The United States Air Force makes
use of several types of database applications especially at the higher-function
levels. One such database is responsible
for the recording of all maintenance activities across the organization; dubbed
the Core Automated Maintenance System (CAMS).Â
On a smaller, more-localized level Microsoft Access is used to speed up
tracking and data entry of such things as personnel information and performance
reports.
