The story about Lucy Stone we
filled with a lot of factual events. It is almost a biography of her life. The
Cochlear Implant essay is setup a little different but still like the Lucy
Stone essay it is filled with a lot of informational facts. The Cochlear
Implant essay sets up the facts with a opening statement and precedes the
statement with facts.
In the Lucy Stone essay they utilized the following order. Time, informative
process, and topic. In the Cochlear Implant essay they used the following
order. Topic, informative process, and time.
In the Lucy Stone they used the time first
to build credibility in her story. After they established creditability the
author began to tell her story and back up the facts to solidify her
creditability. The author could of used a different approach and told the
reader the story of this incredible woman they backed up the story with factual
date. The Cochlear Implant story started the story with a topic to gain
interest then the author told the story of the implants and closed the story
with a time line of the implants.
Both essays have a lot of factual data to
build creditability in the essays. The authors do a great job of stating the
factual data in a way that keeps the reader interested in the story.
