Abstract
The rate of failure in both
internal and external examinations in educational institutions nowadays is
becoming so high that urgent step needs to be taken to address the situation if
the goals of education will not be defeated. In this paper, factors that are
influencing failure in examination and the effects of such failure are
examined. Suggestions that can ensure an improvement in the performance of
pupils /students are further raised.
