Understanding Job Costing
Job
costing is “a fundamental managerial accounting. It differs from process
costing in that the flow of costs is traced by job instead of by process.” (Wikipedia, 2008) Many

mathematics needed to perform job costing and my other aspects of calculating
costs, but the fact is that job costing does not have to be difficult. Job costing can be simplified by few easy
steps according to Dave Tucker (2008) a golf course industry professional who
has observed over 7000 companies either using or not using job costing.
