Paper Abstract

5 pages in length. The Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) was a monumental implementation in the history of fairness and equality. According to President Bush, who was the instrumental party in getting the act passed, it is up to the people to reach out to those Americans disabled by ignorance or handicapped by prejudice and teach them a better way. And so went Bush's fight to provide protection for those who are physically- or mentally-challenged with regard to the battle against prejudice. While the ADA appeared to be a positive move in the right direction, not everyone was overwhelmed by its ultimate implications. The writer discusses support and opposition in relation to the ADA. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
