Information Systems and
Organizational Departments
Introduction
The
information systems discussed here are the systems that different organizational departments use to run business on a daily basis.
The organizational departments discussed here are: human resources, administration
and management and product and technology development. These organizational
departments are the core of the businesses they take care of. Each department
uses different information systems to do the daily jobs expected of them. Organizational departments
represent the fundamental elements of a business—its people, work processes,
and structure. The plan that enables them to work efficiently and to achieve
business goals is the Information Systems (IS).
