In the book Narrative of the life of Frederick Douglass,
an American Slave, Frederick is a
slave to many masters until he gets his freedom. This book reflects the
romantic age because of the style and content which he wrote in. There is a lot
of detail about what he had to go through which had a lot of passion about his
emotions. In his book he is fighting for his equality and his individuality to
become the person he has dreamed of. This book tells about his life, and how
most of it he was in slavery and not about escaping.
